Structure of Transformer

It is designed to be fully enclosed from the atmosphere. The internal pressure of the transformer is adjusted during oil printing using special equipment. When the transformer is overloaded, the volume expansion of the insulating fluid(oil) heated due to thermal effects is throttled on the boiler of the wave wall structure, which has the elastic structure and also performs the cooling function. The oil is printed in special vacuum chambers so that the transformer can be completely filled with oil(no air). The core and coil structure are the same as the expansion storage transformer.

 

Advantages

  • Because it is closed from the atmosphere, insulating oil does not penetrate with oxygen and the insulation deterioration caused by oxidation does not exist. The life of the transformer in terms of insulation; And therefore the life expectancy of the transformer is extended.
  • It does not require periodic maintenance in normal conditions and  under usage except cleaning
  • Dimensionally reduced height as there is no expansion tank. This is an advantage in transformer centers where the height is a problem.


Most Important Disadvantage

  • There is little chance of on-site intervention, maintenance and repair. In any case where the hermetic pressure adjustment is deteriorated, it is necessary to adjust the hermetic pressure with the necessary equipment again under vacuum.

Structure of Transformer

It is designed to be open from the atmosphere. It does not require any pressure setting. Only Insulation oil level adjustment is necessary. The expansion tank is designed according to the maximum expansion of the insulation oil and when filling is done, the level is adjusted according to this amount of expansion. Air exchange against humidity; Through an air drier which changes its humidity when it receives the humidity.

 

Advantages

  • There isn't  dangerous pressure will be generated in the transformer in any way. Therefore, pressure problems will not occur in overload.
  • Deformation in the metal will be less because there is no expansion
  • It has a more suitable structure for on-site maintenance / repair.


Most Important Disadvantage

  • It periodically has elements that require control, testing, change and maintenance.
